There may be no wine that varies so much by region as Chardonnay.  Chardonnay is a white grape that is grown in many locales in California, from the hot Central Valley to El Dorado County elevations of 3000 feet. The styles vary greatly between warmer areas in lower elevations to cooler areas at higher elevations.  Chardonnays from higher elevations, like the El Dorado Wine region, are leaner, fruitier, rarely aged in new oak, and have a much milder varietal character.  They are often called a refreshing  “summer sipper” and people love them on a spring day with a picnic.

Saluti Cellars Chardonnay has a clean aroma of dried apricot, persimmon and green apple. It's juicy mid-palate with honey dew melon, guava and a touch of baking spice. It has a firm acidity and a light, creamy mouth feel..
