Sagrantino is an Italian grape. It is grown primarily in the village of Montefalco and its surrounding areas. The wine is not widely known outside Italy. Look for black plum, blackberry fruit and lots of tannin in this wine, with some earthiness in the background.

Sagrantino grapes are indigenous to the region of Umbria in Central Italy and among the rarest in the world, grown almost exclusively in Umbria some in Nello Olivo’s El Dorado County, CA vineyard.
