Quick Overview

Sierra Vista, 2015 Red Rock Ridge Sirah
The Red Rock Ridge Syrah is very reminiscent of a Cote Rotie. Deep purple in color with a wonderful bouquet of red berry and violets, the ripe, juicy raspberry and cherry flavors marry well with hints of oak and medium tannins. This wine will age nicely over the next 6 to 12 years. Sierra Vista's flagship Syrah.

The Big Daddy of Sierra Vista's Syrah line-up. Deep, dark and concentrated fruit with blueberry and dark plum are backed with current and white pepper spice. This Syrah is perhaps Sierra Vista’s most prestigious wine, from one of the oldest vineyards of Syrah in California.

Outstanding with grilled lamb, rib roast, or your favorite steak.

"It’s got the typical Syrah elegance, so it doesn’t attack your mouth with all this tannin, and it seriously tastes like you went blackberry picking, and you found that nice ripe juicy blackberry and added a little drizzle of sweet balsamic vinegar, a little hint of it.  It has some gravely earthy characteristics too, but not overpowering, just bright blackberry forward. And very smooth.

Syrah is one of those wines because of it’s light tannins, it can go with a variety of foods. You can have it with lamb… some kind of heartier fishes… its very versatile.

Red Rock has a combination of three cherry picked barrels, usually taken and aged longer in newer French Oak. Versus the rest of the Syrahs tend to go less time, less new oak. So, the Red Rock is the King of Syrahs here."
